Ballet Arts was established in 1992 by Artistic Director, Alecia Lakernick.  For over 19 years, Ballet Arts has prided itself on providing quality instruction and positive experiences to all of our students.  We offer classes for students ranging from the 3 year old preschool beginner through the advanced level student, as well as adult classes.  Though we encourage a strong foundation in classical ballet, we offer classes in a variety of dance genres.  Whether your goals are fun and recreation or pursuing a professional career, Ballet Arts provides dance excellence in a fun, friendly, nurturing environment.  We offer performing opportunities to all of our students in our annual recital (produced each May) and in community events and parades.  The Ballet Arts  “All Stars” dance company also performs locally and at regional and national dance competitions.  Our faculty is comprised of seasoned dance educators that have extensive teaching and performing credentials and delight in carrying their knowledge and love of dance into the classroom.   Ballet Arts is a member of the Henderson-Vance Chamber of Commerce and was honored to have been selected to receive the 2009 Vance County Small Business of the Year award.  If you are looking for a professional, organized, caring dance studio look no further….follow your dreams at Ballet Arts.
