Congratulations to alumni Melissa Wyche for being selected for the
Campbell University Dance Team, which performs at the CU basketball games.
In addition…
she was also further honored by being chosen by audition to be on the exclusive
Campbell University Dance Line that will perform at all the CU football games.

In addition to competing at Nationals, six of our ”All Stars” Company members performed as Star Dancers.
They were selected at the Star Talent Regionals to perform in the Star Talent Nationals production number.

Congratulations to JoBeth H. on being selected by audition to attend the
Virginia Governor’s School for the Arts for Dance.
JoBeth was one of only 22 dancers selected for the program.
She spent 4 weeks at Radford University where she studied ballet, pointe,
modern, contemporary and improvisation.
Congratulation to alumni BrieAnna Hester on making Top 10 at the Miss North Carolina Pageant.
BrieAnna is the reigning Miss Johnston County.
Tessa H. modeled for the 2012 Wolff Fording Costume Catalogue.
She was selected by dance audition to model for their national dance catalogues.
Congratulations to Kenard W. on performing and studying in Chicago with The Human Rhythm Project.
Kenard attended the national tap dance festival with The North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble.
He was honored to be selected last year as a member of the NCYTE under the direction of Gene Medler.

Katee Shean (SYTYCD Season 4 Top Female Dancer), Melissa Sandvig (SYTYCD Season 5 Top 10 Dancer),
Jared Jenkins (Step-Up 2), Michael Lemanski (Disney, numerous world tours and industrials),
Paulo Manso de Sousa (Miami Ballet), as well as, JOT directors Marcus Alford and Annie Day.

10 Twirlers Participated in our summer twirling intensive
instructed by Stacy Markham and Kristin Wood.
Kristin Wood competed in the NBTA (National Baton Twirling Association)
State Competition held at North Carolina State University.
She competed in the 16 and up division and was awarded:
1st Place-Open Intermediate Solo
1st Place-Open Intermediate Fancy Strut
1st Place-Advanced Basic Strut
2nd Place-Intermediate State Solo
2nd Place-Intermediate State Fancy Strut
2nd Place-Advanced Show Twirl
Kristen is privately coached by Bethany Shreiner.
More than 20 Ballet Arts dancers attended ‘The Next Level’ dance intensive workshop
instructed by Brian Youngkin in June, July and August.
Bess, Kristen and Kenard attended the NC Rhythm Tap Festival.
They took classes under tap greats such as Arthur Duncan,
were treated to special performances, and took part in a tap jam.
Ballet Arts students: Kristen, Tessa, Ella, Alexis, Bailey, Ben, Taylor and Jada participated in the
Broadway and Beyond Theater camp and performed various roles in the B & B production of “Snow White”.

Ballet Arts “All Stars” Company dancers competed at two regional competitions:
Star Talent Competition (STC) and Dance Troupe Challenge Competition (DTI), both held at Louisburg College.
