What Are Our Alumni Up To??

Natalie Solomon is a freshman at Meredith College, where she is majoring in dance.  She was selected by audition as a member of the Meredith College Jazz Company and will also be an apprentice member of the Tap Company.
This summer she was ‘scouted’ by a talent agent at Star Talent Nationals and asked to ‘sign’ with a national talent agency.

 

Melissa Wyche is a sophomore at Campbell University, where she is majoring in pre-med/biology.  She was selected by audition to be member of the Campbell University Dance Team for both the football and the basketball games.

 

BrieAnna Hester is a member of Meredith Dance Theater, as well as, Meredith’s Jazz and Tap companies.
She choreographed and performed in MDT dance concerts.  BrieAnna is a sophomore at Meredith College, double majoring in dance and education. BrieAnna is also the reigning Miss Johnston County and was in the Top 10 at the Miss NC Pageant.

 

Alexis Brown is a member of the North Carolina State University dance company, Dance Visions. 
Alexis performed in the spring NCSU dance concert.  She is a sophomore at NCSU.

Lynnita Henderson is a member of the Western Carolina University dance team.  She is a sophomore at WCU.

 

Kathryn Rooney choreographed and performed for UNC-Charlotte’s dance concerts.  Kathryn is a junior at UNC-C majoring in dance.

 

Melissa Kozoman and Jessie Uzmann are members of the UNC-Chapel Hill dance company, Blank Canvas.
Melissa and Jessie are seniors at UNC-CH.

 

Mystique Hargrove is currently persuing a master’s degree in dance therapy.
She is a graduate of NC A&T, where she was a teaching assistant in the dance department.

 

Ingrid (Duke) Brown is currently living in eastern NC where she is teaching dance in the school system and in private studios. Ingrid is a graduate of ECU with a BA degree in dance.

 

Sophia Koinis is currently living in Puerto Rico where she is teaching dance and yoga.  She is a graduate of Hollins College with a BFA degree in dance.

 

Kurtis Overby is in Arizona where he is the Associate Artistic Director of the Arizona Broadway Theatre.  Kurtis is actively involved in choreographing, directing, and performing in productions at ABT.   Kurtis is a graduate of Louisburg College with an AA degree in dance.
