What Are Our Alumni Up To??
JoBeth Hardin is a freshman at Radford University where she is majoring in dance.
Ashlee Morgan is a freshman at UNC-G where she is minoring in dance and majoring in international business.
Natalie Solomon is a sophomore at Meredith College, where she is majoring in dance. She was selected by audition as a member Meredith Dance Theater and the Meredith College Jazz and Tap Companies.
Melissa Wyche is a junior at Campbell University, where she is majoring in pre-med/biology. She was selected by audition to be member of the Campbell University Dance Team for both the football and the basketball games.
BrieAnna Hester is a junior at Meredith College, double majoring in dance and education. She is a member of Meredith Dance Theater, as well as, Meredith’s Jazz and Tap companies. BrieAnna has choreographed and performed in MDT dance concerts and Meredith’s Jazz/Tap Co. concert. Her solo was selected by adjudication to perform in the gala for the American College Dance Festival Association in NC and was selected for the honor of representing NC in ACDFA’s Nationals in Washington D.C. BrieAnna is the reigning Miss Durham, is a former Miss Johnston County, and was in the Top 10 at the Miss NC Pageant.
Aijia Bryant is a junior at UNC-Greensboro where she is minoring in dance. She is also on the dance team at NC A&T in Greensboro.
Alexis Brown is a junior at NCSU where she is a performing member of the North Carolina State University dance company, Dance Visions.
Lynnita Henderson is a junior at Western Carolina University where she is member of the University’s dance team.
Kathryn Rooney senior at UNC-C where she is majoring in dance. She has choreographed and performed for UNC-Charlotte’s dance concerts. Most recently she has danced and performed at the Atlanta Fringe Festival (in Atlanta, Ga.) and performed and studies in Dallas, Texas for her dance internship.
Melissa Kozoman is a senior at UNC-Chapel Hill where she is a performing member of the UNC-CH dance company, Blank Canvas. She has also been a member of Modern Extension dance company.
Kelsey Williamson is a recent graduate of Bryan College with a BFA degree in Musical Theater/Music. She is returning to Ballet Arts as an instructor.
Mystique Hargrove received her master’s degree in dance therapy from NC A&T and will begin her career as a dance therapist. She also holds an undergraduate degree from NC A&T, where she was a teaching assistant in the dance department.
Ingrid (Duke) Brown is a graduate of ECU with a BA degree in dance. She is currently living in eastern NC where she is teaching dance in the school system and in private studios.
Sophia Koinis is a graduate of Hollins College with a BFA degree in dance. She is currently living in Puerto Rico where she is teaching dance and yoga.
Rachel Jones Davis is a graduate of Meredith College with a degree in business. She is currently the director of and instructor at eNeRGy Kidz dance studio in Raleigh. She has been teaching dance and gymnastics for over 15 years at North Raleigh School of Gymnastics.
Joy Hoyle Suther received her master’s degree in school administration from NCSU and has an undergraduate degree in education from Meredith College. She is a teacher at Zebb Vance Elementary School and has stayed active in dance as an assistant instructor at Ballet Arts.
Kurtis Overby is in Arizona where he is the Associate Artistic Director of the Arizona Broadway Theatre. Kurtis is actively involved in choreographing, casting, directing and performing in productions at ABT. Kurtis is a graduate of Louisburg College with an AA degree in dance.
